FORLI ROSSO INDICAZIONE GEOGRAFICA TIPICA

Since 2005, we have invested in this project . Mainly bordeaux-style with a pinch of sangiovese, it is proof of how international vine species – such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot – succeed in achieving outstanding  quality productions in the land of romagna. The varietals that produce these grapes are those from plot number 25, which gives the wine its name.

Denomination: Igt Forli Rosso

Vineyards:  the grapes come from directly cultivated vineyards

Vine growing: 4.800 vines per hectare, cordon spur trained

Grape  variety:  45%  Cabernet  Sauvignon,  45%  Merlot,  10% Sangiovese

Altitude: 100 meters above sea level

Harvesting: after a careful selection in the vineyards, grapes are hand- picked and carried to the cellar

Vinification:  alcoholic  fermentation  in  stainless  steel  vats 

Maturation: in tonneaux for about 12 months

Refining: in bottle for at least 4 months

Average production: 2.000 bottles

Organoleptic features: sweet red fruits: currant, blackberry and ripe  cherry hints laced with fi ne sweet and spicy notes. Rich-textured  wine,  very  well-balanced, with fruit which is enhanced by wood;  ample and long in the mouth with a velvety, minerally finish.
